New Science Provides New Hope for Stroke Recovery
A clinical trial is a research study that evaluates the safety and efficacy of a new treatment or intervention. Current or future research studies of therapies for stroke may include studies of stem cells, physical therapy, electrical stimulation, robotic therapy, or other therapies or treatments.

Recognise Study - Researchers at Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, University of Melbourne in collaboration with Latrobe University, are inviting individuals to participate in the Recognise Study, a research project investigating changes in people (with and without stroke) with upper limb pain. From previous research some with longstanding hand or arm pain have difficulty recognizing the laterality (left from right) of a picture of their affected hand (perception difficulties).
After you complete the Survey, UCSF will review your information and if it looks like you may be eligible for any studies, we will contact you. Study personnel will then answer any questions you may have and tell you about additional pre-screening steps. Each study will have its own screening process.
