We take your privacy very seriously. We have taken steps to keep the information you provide on this website (StrokeRecoveryInitiative.ucsf.edu) and our survey website (redcap.ucsf.edu) secure during and after transmission. The completed surveys will be kept secure to the degree permitted by the technology used. Specifically, no guarantees can be made regarding the interception of data sent via the Internet by any third parties, but we have taken the following steps to protect your responses:

  • We store your responses on computer servers that have been specifically designed to keep sensitive health information secure.
  • Your survey responses are kept confidential according to the policies of the University of California San Francisco's Committee on Human Research (www.research.ucsf.edu/chr/). These policies ensure that ONLY researchers directly involved in this study will have access to any personally identifiable information. We will NOT share your contact information or responses with third parties without your permission.
